Sloan was upset that I wasn't sewing her doll dresses this weekend. I can sew pretty well, but I need patterns for clothes. I haven't had a chance to get a pattern yet for the doll dresses I will be sewing. These dresses on the table, came with the matching one's for Sloan.
Sloan drew an idea of what she wanted me to sew for her doll dress. She wants a dress with a little dog on the front.
I have wanted to sew for such a long time. I pulled out all my sewing stuff this weekend. Sloan was very excited about the whole process. She kept telling me how I needed to sew, where I needed to cut on the fabric, and what I was doing wrong. It all became a little annoying. So I encouraged her to draw some outfit ideas. She was a little angry at first, but then she was fine. I tried to explain to her that I had been sewing for quite a while and I promised her that I had a pretty good idea of what I was doing. I promised to teach her how to sew during the summer. She was very excited about that.
Sloan has strep throat again. I took her to the Dr. today. She has a horrible fear of getting her throat swabbed, so much that she let her throat get super sore before she started complaining. Even at the Dr.'s office she stood firm that nothing was wrong with her throat. Her throat on the right side was visibly swollen. When it came time for the throat swab she started to sob. She cried but let the nurse swab her throat. She didn't fight or have to be held down. It was so awesome. I was so very pleased with how brave she was. Once Abby went home, and the girls went to bed we were able to spend some more time together just her and I. I love her so much. She is turning into such a beautiful young lady.
Dean just got home and he's pretty beat up. He was carrying a glass tub enclosure and it shattered in his hand, it was tempered glass but some of it still cut his arm. Then when he was unloading his truck he slid on the back of his truck and hit his knee on the hook of his lumber rack. He's feeling a little sore. I am going to run to the store to pick up some pain reliever for him.
