A Very Happy Mother's Day

"Mother and Child" by Gustav Klimt

Today started out a little rough. Aris had a very rough night. Because she didn't sleep well, neither did I. So this morning I felt like anything but a good mom. I was so tired. I don't think I really woke up until early afternoon. I was only a grump for breakfast, and then I snapped out of it. I was reminded all through the day of how blessed I am. To be married to a wonderful man who values me as a mother. To have three, three beautiful girls that I could never hug or kiss enough in this lifetime or the next, I love them so much it hurts my heart sometimes. To be surrounded by many strong and inspiring mothers in my life. Yes, I am truly blessed.

Happy Mother's Day Mom. Happy Mother's Day Cindy. Happy Mother's day Roberta. Happy Mother's Day to all. I love you all so very much!

Once

I know it probably seems as if all I have been doing these days is watching movies. I have been busy with other things as well. There are just so many films I have wanted to see and haven't had a chance to watch. "Once" is one of the movies I wanted to see since I first heard about it. I heard the soundtrack when the movie first came out, and I was totally smitten. It is a CD I could listen to again and again. I was hoping the movie would live up to the hype of independent film, made on a budget, blows you away at how wonderful the movie is. Sometimes a movie is talked up so much when you finally have a chance to watch it you are very disappointed. This was not the case with this movie. I loved it. It is a story of friendship, creativity, and longing for love. When I am able I will own it to watch from time to time. It earned an "R" rating for a few bad words. If you haven't had a chance to see this movie yet, you truly are missing out.
