Crisis Averted

Just finished up this little gal last night. I also prepped the last two plaques for painting tonight.

3 down, 2 to go. 

P.S. I was able to fix the red bird girl painting, thank goodness. Thanks for all your sympathy.

V Day Weekend Recap

We had a super fun Valentines day weekend. It was mellow and relaxing and I got a lot done around the house. Dean worked all day. When he came home we went to the church dinner and Valentines dance with the kiddos. It was perfect, friends, family a little shucking n jiving (that's dancing in case you didn't know). When we came home the kids were so tired so we put them to bed and watched a little Hulu while I painted.

 My favorite part of the day.... no not the beautiful flowers (they are beautiful)... falling asleep in the crook of my sweetie's arm after we lay in the dark talking, about nothing in particular, just talked and laughed. Talked about life and kids and nothing real important, but it was super romantic. Think about it. Just talking in the dark with no kids around..... about stuff....I highly recommend it. These are the moments I hold so tenderly close to my heart. I hope everyone had a special weekend.

Hard Lesson Learned

:: Note to self::

NEVER leave your art supplies & paintings out overnight. You will most likely wake up to water smudges covering one said finished painting & then feel enraged, because you just got out of bed & didn't have a chance to truly wake up yet, and then contemplate selling children to the circus......... Oh that's right........ I live in a circus.
