Isaac

I love this picture. It is one I will treasure forever. Isaac is my younger brother. My little brother who is now taller than me. All of my siblings are. How does that happen? I'm the oldest of the kids, and the shortest. Isaac and I have a very unique relationship. When we were younger I think there were times he really had a hard time liking me. I guess that sometimes happens with siblings. As we grew older and moved further apart, our relationship as brother and sister was at times a little less than pleasant. I think he pretty much thought I was a horrible person due to several choices I had made up to that point. I don't blame him. I had made some pretty crazy messes with my life, and some of those decisions had affected many family members. No matter, I still loved my brother deeply. I have always respected him even when he wanted nothing to do with me. A few years back a funny thing happened. I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. Little Zoe Evelyn was born on the same day as my brother. I called him to let him know how excited I was that they would share the same birthday. It wasn't a phone call like those from the pages of a great book, or dramatic like those of the silver screen. It was a simple and perfect conversation. One that I had longed for for many years. Over the past 3 & a half years I think we have slowly mended those wounds and started a new chapter in our friendship. I just adore this guy. Super talented, funny, and wonderful. So glad to call him my brother.

Booma

My mom is such a sweetheart. The girls call her Booma. Pronounced Boo-ma. Sloan was the one who gave her that name and it has stayed. Everyone should have a Booma. She is the best.

Until Next Time we Meet.......

Two weeks went by too quickly. Actually the whole summer has flown by more quickly than I would like to admit. Today I settled into the old routine of school, homework, exercise, and afternoon naps. However I have made a few changes in the schedule. This coming from a girl who never believed in "set times" for things to happen. I have become a routine junkie. How did that happen? I'm guessing three kids and a household to run has a little to do with it. I have added a few new goals to my list of things to do. The first, more rest. Second, work harder on my goals & dreams. Third, get healthy. There are others but I won't bore you with the details.

It's a good thing I have these new goals to keep me busy. It's awful lonesome around here. My mom and sister flew home yesterday. To say I had a good time would be an understatement. I seriously had a blast. Although serious lack of sleep provided a few grumpy moments on my part (sorry mom) I wish they could have stayed another week. It was fun to get together with my aunt & uncle and all of their kids too. My brother and his girlfriend came over for two days which added to all the fun. I absolutely adore his girlfriend. She was one of the sweetest people I have ever met. Just darling. I do so miss them all and look forward to seeing everyone very soon.

I will be posting pictures from the past two weeks tomorrow, along with a shop update. Really excited to finally put more in my shop. Oh yeah, another goal, to have 30 items in my shop by Christmas. Do you think I can accomplish this goal? Any of these goals? Only time will tell. I'm ready and oh so willing to move forward. That's what really matters right? Right :)
