This was my Mothers Day gift from Dean. He put up shelves in the hallway closets so I could organize them more efficiently. It feels good to have all the clutter cleaned up and cleared out. Our house is just too small to waste any space. Now if I could just get him to make those doors for the closets. Hummmm, maybe for our anniversary?

A Very Happy Mother's Day
"Mother and Child" by Gustav KlimtToday started out a little rough. Aris had a very rough night. Because she didn't sleep well, neither did I. So this morning I felt like anything but a good mom. I was so tired. I don't think I really woke up until early afternoon. I was only a grump for breakfast, and then I snapped out of it. I was reminded all through the day of how blessed I am. To be married to a wonderful man who values me as a mother. To have three, three beautiful girls that I could never hug or kiss enough in this lifetime or the next, I love them so much it hurts my heart sometimes. To be surrounded by many strong and inspiring mothers in my life. Yes, I am truly blessed.
Happy Mother's Day Mom. Happy Mother's Day Cindy. Happy Mother's day Roberta. Happy Mother's Day to all. I love you all so very much!
Once
I know it probably seems as if all I have been doing these days is watching movies. I have been busy with other things as well. There are just so many films I have wanted to see and haven't had a chance to watch. "Once" is one of the movies I wanted to see since I first heard about it. I heard the soundtrack when the movie first came out, and I was totally smitten. It is a CD I could listen to again and again. I was hoping the movie would live up to the hype of independent film, made on a budget, blows you away at how wonderful the movie is. Sometimes a movie is talked up so much when you finally have a chance to watch it you are very disappointed. This was not the case with this movie. I loved it. It is a story of friendship, creativity, and longing for love. When I am able I will own it to watch from time to time. It earned an "R" rating for a few bad words. If you haven't had a chance to see this movie yet, you truly are missing out.Saturday, May 10, 2008
My finger!!!!!
It has been a very busy, but enjoyable day. I had a lovely visit with my dear friend Suzanna from Sitting Pretty Studio. She is Sloan's Aunt. She would have been my sister in law, but I still consider her family. I think we talked for a little over an hour. She is a sweetheart, super talented and a wonderful mother. I am honored to know her.
I went to Gymboree and Old Navy with my friend Claire today. She is so ready to have her baby. We both found some of the cutest things for our little one's.
Sloan had a play date over at Abby's home today. When I picked up Sloan from her play date, I organized the pantry.
Then after dinner and putting the girls to bed, I started to clean up the house and started cleaning the dishes. I had some recycling in the sink to wash out before I put it in the bins. I went to grab something, and I sliced my finger on a lid of a can. It hurt so badly I said a bad word. I am just glad the girls were asleep. I never say bad words. Needless to say I was unable to finish washing dishes. It is still hurting. I think it will probably take a few days to get back to normal.
Well my day was busy, but great. Tomorrow I will show you my wonderful mothers day gift Dean made for me.

Dan in Real Life

Dean and I watched this very delightful movie last night. Not only was it funny in a suttle sort of way, it was very sweet. I wish I had a cabin just like the one in the movie. I loved the family dynamics of all the brothers, sisters and parents. It made me wish that I had a family that liked to do some of the goofy family traditions they held so dear. This movie moves like a slow Sunday drive. At first you aren't too sure if you are going to like it, but in the end you had a lovely time kind of wish it wouldn't end. Not only is this movie delightful, it is pretty clean, and family friendly. Let me know what you guys think when you see this movie.
