Almost Forgot

Melissa of Checkout Girl is giving away a custom choose your own illustration. I love her work. You can find her blog here.

I didn't really forget, but please make sure you go and check out Cathy's blog Tadpoles & Teacups. She is giving away this darling little guy. While you are over there make sure you take a peak at all of her lovely art. I hope someday I can own some of her whimsical creations.

*Don't forget to take a look at the post below!*

Giveaways & Doll Clothing Swap

Suzannah of Art Nest is hosting her third annual Doll clothing swap. I won't be signing up for this one because I still owe a doll outfit to one lovely lady (I know, I should be taken out back and horse whipped) I have some pretty crazy project commitments at the moment. I will however be happy when her next swap comes along. Hopefully by then I can participate. Go here to sign up.

A lovely new blogging friend & fellow artist Tamera is having a fun giveaway over at her blog TAMS. Run on over and say hello. Don't forget to leave a comment for a chance to be the luck owner of two of her yummy prints. I am really crossing my fingers on this one.
& last but certainly not least Amy of Park City Girl is having a giveaway to celebrate her 1 year of blogging. I love her stuff. While you are visiting her blog be sure to visit her etsy shop. She has the yummiest little quilts for sale.

What I'm Working on

I prepped this about a week or two ago. Last night I put the under painting down. Hoping to work on it tonight. This is another painting in the bird family series. It's a mom & dad taking their little family out for their first flight. Hope to finish it tonight or tomorrow. What are you working on?

All is Well

photo's by:: Sloan

Dean arrived home last night after the girls had gone to bed. It was so good to see him again. I felt all giddy, giggly, and love struck. I love kissing him again after not having the chance for over a week. And I was able to sleep well for the first night since he left. It just feels too lonely in bed when he's gone. Last night as we were snuggling into bed I reminded him, "You know you won't be able to sleep in, right?", he already knew. So it was super cute in the morning when he tried to sneak into the bathroom and hop back into bed without the girls seeing him (our house is tiny, you'd have to make no noise at all) when he was smothered with kisses and hugs from the little ones. Aris can crawl out of her crib now. So she was right in the mix of it all.

It was a lazy day. We went to two thrift stores and bought books for us and the kids, had a brunch at IHOP, came home with full bellies, and all of us but Sloan took naps. Family time. I love days like today. All was right with our little slice of life. Now the girls are in bed so I am off to work on some cards and some painting.

I wanted to write about one last thing. The photos above. Sloan took them. She ran inside today and just had to take some pics of Blu, our dog. She loved the fact that he was smiling. I love the fact that she still notices things like smiling dogs. Hope all of you had a weekend filled with snuggles, family, good food, and smiling dogs.
