I like my follow button. At first I thought, oh weird...popularity contest or something, but really, it's nice, and if you don't like it, you can take it off in a snap!
ok. i am such a nerd that i don't even know what the follow button is? does it send notice to your "followers" when you post? i've never clicked on one...
hi summer! i think you should put the follow button on your side bar.i love it because it shows who really enjoys and appreciates your blog. some people probably do it for a popularity contest, but i think that takes the joy out of it. i also like the fact that you meet new bloggers that way. like zana said, if you don't like it, you can take it off.just to let you know, i will be sure to be one of your followers. thank you for your nice comments on my post.
I didn't even know what you were talking about. I say don't add it. Use your sitemeter or google analytics tracking info to see who is visiting and when. But, that is just my opinion. :)
Why not? People discover new blogs through your "followers" that they might have missed otherwise...and as someone else pointed out, you could always remove it later if you changed your mind.
P.S. -- I forgot to tell you, the little birthday girl is in the shop now, if you want to take a peek at her (the shop photos show what she really looks like, without all her friends crowding her out).
