And here is the rest of the story

Zoe threw up three more times during the early morning. At about 11:30 I put her down for a nap and she slept until 4:30. Tonight she was running around until bedtime like nothing had ever happened today. I still wouldn't let her eat anything but applesauce and crackers. Tomorrow things will hopefully be back to normal. I was able to work on Katie Turtle for a bit today. I usually go to work on things as soon as the girls go to bed, however tonight I just finished cleaning up the remains of the day (A great movie by the way), and My hubby is sitting on the sofa waiting for me to snuggle up to him to watch a few minutes of TV before we go to bed. I am going to snuggle him up and relax. I think I deserve it today. Good night until tomorrow.

No hot dogs for me!

Zoe has recently started crawling into bed with us at wee hours of the morning. I put her back in her bed change her wet diaper (I will be getting on that potty training thing very soon) and then sing her twinkle twinkle, it's her favorite and kiss her goodnight. I crawl back into my bed only to be jolted awake by cries of hunger! Not from wolves out in the wild, no just my little Aris who screams and kicks her legs until I nurse her. There are no tears during this process although by the sound of her you would think something terrible was happening. So anyway this morning around 3 AM to be exact, Zoe came and crawled into bed and this whole process as described above happened. However this time Zoe came in a second time wanting to talk to me about something. At this point I am too tired to repeat the whole process of bedtime, I've already done it twice already, so I put her back in bad and fall quickly asleep beside her, in her little bed. I'm having a very vivid dream about shopping in a huge Kmart. I don't know why. So in my dream I am shopping in Kmart and then I am suddenly woken up by coughing and sputtering gagging sounds. Zoe is vomiting all over the place, right at the back of my head all over the pillow. This is not part of the dream, it's really happening. I tried to grab the plastic sink from the girls kitchen so I could do damage control but it kept getting stuck on the pretend faucet. Dang those pretend faucets. All I could really do at this point is pat her back and tell her it was going to be OK. After the whole ordeal was over I put her in the tub, how I didn't get chunks in my hair and all over my back, well I am going to consider this part a modern day miracle. After I stripped her whole bed, disinfected the mattress and got little Zoe all cleaned up and dressed in fresh clothes, she threw up again. This time however I was prepared! I had placed a large bowl beside her on the coffee table. She finally fell asleep on the sofa watching Blues Clues. If you had to clean up what I did this morning, you wouldn't be eating hot dogs for a while either. Hopefully the rest of the day will go a little smoother.

The progress of Katie Turtle..............slow as it may be

My batteries are still charging. They boast on the package that they will charge in ten minutes! No dice! They are still charging. I was going to take some pictures of the process of this project. Instead I figured I would just scan it and that will just have to do for now. Time to turn in for the night.

Super Sunday

Today was so nice. Church was awesome, all the kids cooperated. I only had to leave class once to feed the baby and then she fell asleep. Came home and took a tiny nap with the girls. Sloan has been oh so helpful and the girls just played and played a grand game of hide and go seek. Zoe only knows how to count to three and that gave her an unfair advantage, but Sloan didn't seem to mind. The house was seriously filled with giggles almost the whole evening. When the giggles turned to joyous screams I had my fill. Mean mommy came out and stopped the fun. I know I'm terrible huh? Dean has been working all day on the cabinets for the side job he has. The lady he's making them for just asked if he could make some more cabs for her downstairs. We are so blessed to have this work coming his way. The economy is so iffy and we have a lot of friends who are out of work or taking pay cuts. Considering the state of things these days we feel very fortunate.
I am working on Katie turtle and hope to have her finished by tonight or tomorrow afternoon. Then I will be starting on the mammoth canvas that is taking up almost one whole wall of the living room. It will be for the JDRF auction. I am hoping to have that done by the weekend if I can get in a couple nights of solid painting time.
The little ones are in bed, Sloan is in the tub and Dean is cleaning up the outside work area for the day. It is time for me to get to work on the ol' art. My batteries lost juice so they are recharging at the moment. Look for some more pics tomorrow. Until then sleep well all.

Snow and art

Daddy and Zoe cooking.

My Gymboree barrette obsession.

The girls playing before dinner.

Our blanket of snow.

Start of the new project.

It snowed today. Tonight the snow left a lovely blanket of snow on our yard. Dean feel asleep while he was putting Zoe to bed. He has been working so hard on his job and side jobs and the house. I didn't have the heart to wake him up. He slept for almost three hours and just woke up to feed the dogs, close up the garage and come in the house to go to sleep again. I have finally started on the turtle illustration. I have like 15 other ideas ready to roll after this one, thank goodness. I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to just pick up and run with things again. So far so good. I have a lot to finish before the JDRF auction coming up in April. I am hoping that I can round up a ton of art for this worthy cause. Starting Monday I will be pulling out all the stops and asking all of my old buddies from art school and other talented artists from Reno if they would like to donate work for the auction. My goal this year is 30 donations. If you are reading this and know of an artist that would be interested in donating something please have them contact me and I can get them the appropriate forms.

On another note my little ones were so very grumpy today. It was an off day for all. Around 3:30 I had finally had enough and decided we needed to get out of the house. I drove us to the Sierra Summit outdoor mall. We went to Gymboree and I bought the girls some darling new barrettes. I try to justify this addiction by the fact that I have three girls, and I do put hair pretties in their hair everyday. These barrettes are used over and over more than anything else I buy for the girls. A part of me still feels a little guilty when I splurge on things like this. Just that little bit of time out of the house did us all good. When we got home Dean was fixing dinner (I would cook more but he is the better cook). We had a nice dinner together and then it was time for baths and Jammie's. All in all it has been a good day.
