It's a little crooked, but you get the idea. (See original sketch on earlier post). I took the idea from the original sketch and tweaked it a bit. The size of this painting is tiny, 6 inches. I am going to lay down the color tomorrow, and when it is done it will find a home in my very last gold frame. All these paintings will go in the girls room for now. I would love to get to the point where I can't find a place to hang my work. That would mean I was working toward one of my goals, getting a body of work together for an art show. Will post more photos tomorrow.Saturday, February 2, 2008
The sketch in progress

Thought I would add a super talented crafter to my "links I like" area. Nancy Bevin's is a wool felting artist. Her wool felted animals are some of the most adorable things I have ever seen. I wish she would illustrate a children's book with her whimsical little animals. If you have a few minutes, her site is well worth the visit.
I am off to paint. Sewing will have to wait until later. Hopefully toward the end of the week. I will be posting some more photo's tomorrow.
