My finger!!!!!

It has been a very busy, but enjoyable day. I had a lovely visit with my dear friend Suzanna from Sitting Pretty Studio. She is Sloan's Aunt. She would have been my sister in law, but I still consider her family. I think we talked for a little over an hour. She is a sweetheart, super talented and a wonderful mother. I am honored to know her.

I went to Gymboree and Old Navy with my friend Claire today. She is so ready to have her baby. We both found some of the cutest things for our little one's.

Sloan had a play date over at Abby's home today. When I picked up Sloan from her play date, I organized the pantry.

Then after dinner and putting the girls to bed, I started to clean up the house and started cleaning the dishes. I had some recycling in the sink to wash out before I put it in the bins. I went to grab something, and I sliced my finger on a lid of a can. It hurt so badly I said a bad word. I am just glad the girls were asleep. I never say bad words. Needless to say I was unable to finish washing dishes. It is still hurting. I think it will probably take a few days to get back to normal.

Well my day was busy, but great. Tomorrow I will show you my wonderful mothers day gift Dean made for me.

Dan in Real Life

Dean and I watched this very delightful movie last night. Not only was it funny in a suttle sort of way, it was very sweet. I wish I had a cabin just like the one in the movie. I loved the family dynamics of all the brothers, sisters and parents. It made me wish that I had a family that liked to do some of the goofy family traditions they held so dear. This movie moves like a slow Sunday drive. At first you aren't too sure if you are going to like it, but in the end you had a lovely time kind of wish it wouldn't end. Not only is this movie delightful, it is pretty clean, and family friendly. Let me know what you guys think when you see this movie.

Yummy!

Let's face it, we have all done this at one time or another.

A little Monkey Business

I have found that it is super hard for me to get pictures of Sloan these days. She is just too busy doing "Sloanie" things to pose for "another" photo. I thought that I would post her newest creation. I think this is so much fun. The book on the monkeys tail actually opens to reveal little writing. It's adorable. My little artist.
