Little Bella

Suzannah over at Sitting Pretty Studios called me the day before yesterday and told me some terrible news. While at work, Bella pulled a fresh cup of coffee off the table, right after she had poured it. She sustained 2ND degree burns over her whole face and neck and shoulders. Bella is just a week or so older than Aris. It breaks my heart. The Dr. and nurses at the local Hot Springs hospitals sent her home but thought it would be best for her to go visit the burn unit at the Children's Hospital in the next few days. Fair news has turned to bad as they have just admitted little Bella to the burn unit there. Please keep this sweet family in your thoughts and if you are spiritual, your prayers. I believe it helps in situations such as these just to know people are praying for you.

I'm on Facebook

Just a little note to all my blogging buddies. I have been on Facebook for the past few months. If you haven't tried it yet, you should. It is so much fun. I have found and been found by so many people I have known in the past but lost touch with. I have always thought it's so crazy how you spend so much time with people you adore and then you move away and lose touch. This allows me to reconnect with all those wonderful friends. Friends from art school, people I went to high school with, kids I used to babysit (now they are married and having kids of their own), and then my family. I feel very safe on Facebook. You have to approve people before they can add you as a friend and see all your info. So say for instance Psycho ex husband wants to add you as a friend and tell you how hes been thinking about you and wants to tell you how sorry he is about all the wrongs he committed....deep breath (yes this just happened to me) you can just click ignore or send a polite little note saying, PLEASE DON"T CONTACT ME AGAIN! Alas I digress. The real reason I am posting about this is if you are on Facebook, I would love to add you as my friend. So send me a request and I will accept (unless you are my psycho ex husband)

Tag...You're It!

So lovely Elissa from the blog Burch Swinging was "tagged" the other day and asked if people would play along. So I volunteered to be one of her people she would tag. I love visiting her blog. She is very gifted at writing, mommy, artist and a crafter. As I read her blog I feel like we both have a lot in common. If we lived closer I know we would be the best of friends.

Random facts in no particular order.

1-I was born in Calgary Alberta Canada. I only lived there for a little over a month, but growing up it was always fun to tell people I was Canadian. Only in the last few weeks has my birth status become a problem. Now I am going through the process of becoming an American citizen. How ridiculous is that?! I've lived here all but a month and a half of my life and now I find out I am not an American. Bizarre. Hows that for random. (I still love Canada no matter what)

2-There is a drawing of me in a museum.

3-I love to collect all things vintage.

4-I have blue eyes.

5-I have always been obsessed with noses. I have a list in my mind of people with perfect noses. My husband thinks it's kind of weird. If you are interested in my list just let me know and I will do a post on it later. By the way, my husband has a perfect nose. I could stare at it all day. It drives him nuts.

6-When I was little I was deathly afraid of choking.

7-When I grow up, I want to own my own business making beautiful art and items for children.

Now for some tagging............. let's see............ I am tagging Michelle of My Designs, Suzannah of Sitting Pretty Studios, Lori of Morning Glories and Moonbeams, Anne of Firefly Hill Style, Susan of the Anderson Family blog, Kandice of The Coates family and last but certainly not least Amy at Park City Girl.
