A Very Halloweeny Giveaway

ANYONE MAY ENTER FOR A CHANCE TO WIN!!!!!!!

I have been wanting to host a giveaway for quite some time now. I have been blogging for over a year now. I must say, I couldn't be happier with all the blogging friends I have made during this time. To celebrate over a year of blogging and a super fun holiday I am giving away "Little Miss Halloween Kitty". She has  put on her favorite collar and party hat in hopes you'll have her along on the night of tricks and treats.

All you have to do is leave a comment by 12 midnight on Friday October 24,2008 telling me what your favorite Halloween  memory is and I will enter you once into the drawing. Wait there is more if you post about my giveaway, and link back to it on your blog, I will add your name 5 more times. It doesn't stop there (hehehe do I sound like a game show host?) If you add a button to the side of your blog about the giveaway, I will add your name another 5 times. That is a total of 11 times. I would really love for all of you first timers to my blog and those that maybe haven't left a comment before to feel free to enter also. These giveaways are way more fun when everyone gets in on the action. The winner will be announced on Saturday October 25th.

* "Little Miss Halloween Kitty" comes protected in a 5"x7" black plastic frame. She is a one of a kind hand made illustration by me. I use acid free scrapbook paper and scrapbook embellishments. I also hand embroider all of the stitching.

* If you don't have a blog, feel free to leave your email address at the end of your entry. Like I said anyone is more than welcome to join my giveaways.

I remember going trick or treating with my friend and her siblings. That was back when we could walk country roads alone at night! We got so much candy that we took pillow cases to keep it all in! It seemed like we walked for miles and miles!

Just got the adorable package in the mail...we loved it! It's on display here at home for Halloween and we'll be featuring him on the blog Thurs/Fri, along with your shop (which I'm sure will soon be stocked with fun stuff!)

Yay for giveaways! My favorite memory has to be the time we carved a pumpkin to look like a cat's face (complete with whiskers). Can't wait for the results -- and we'll be adding your giveaway as a button on our blog.

She's too cute! I don't have many memories of halloween . . . but last year we had a blast hiding candy in the house for the girls to find - tons of fun (it was too cold outside)

As kids in our neighborhood we each house would do a Haunted House walk thru! I miss that it brought the neighbors together! Was so much fun to see each house!

count me in, she's just to adorable. my favorite halloween memory is when one year i didn't have that much money to purchase my son Joshua a halloween costume. i knew that he was looking forward to trick-or-treating.i would look at his little face and i could see his excitement.i had to do something, i couldn't let him down. so i had to be creative. i made him a homemade costume and he was so excited. all i did was grabbed a white sheet and cut three holes for his eyes and mouth and there you go. that child was the happiest casper the friendly ghost i had ever seen.he never complained. he thought he was the coolest ghost. this was a very touching and happy memory for me.

God BLess,
charmaine

just ONE memory?
In 1992, I went as Medusa to a wild Halloween party. I painstakingly whipstitched about 100 different sized rubber snakes all over a pantyhose 'cap' for my head and draped a 6 foot one around my neck.
I made the rest of the outfit too but the snake hair was perfect.
Yep...that outfit totally ROCKED.

I remember a time when I went tricker treating with my freinds and we went to my grandpa Tom and grandma Carrols house and we hit it like five times before my grandpa Tom found out so we got lots of candy off of them we would have got lots of candy off of them any why even if we did not do that because they would have gave us like five big hand fulls.

My favorite Halloween memory...not sure if it is my favorite or not, but I remember really wanting to wear a particular pair of shoes this one Halloween. My mom must have thought they were too small, but I begged, assuring her that they were fine. BIG FAT LIE-my feet hurt like the dickens that night and I froze to death too!!

My favorite memory is taking my younger brother, 11 years younger than me, trick-or-treating through a Minnesota snowstorm that ended with over 30" of snow!! My boyfriend and I took my brother and his friend out for over three hours and had a blast - though it got very difficult to walk on the trek home.

How cute!! Thanks for hosting this giveaway!

My favorite halloween memory has to be from last year. We had a costume contest at work (my husband and I were Waldo of "Where's..." fame) and then we helped staff the carnival at our church. It was so fun to see all the little kids dressed up!

My favorite Halloween was the year my mom made a costume for me to be the Statue of Liberty. I had a flashlight for a torch and a real crown too.

I think my favorite Halloween memory was when my son was about 2 and went trick-or-treating for the first time. I put him in a little kitty outfit and he just looked so plump and pouty but doggone it, he was adorable. I remember him just keeping a straight face the entire time until he realized that he had a whole bunch of candy. That's when it got real.

Miss Kitty is so fun and cute! I really hope she can join us this year at our celebration. Halloween memories seem to all run together. It was so much fun as a kid to dress up. My dad would take me and my siblings out to trick or treat through the neighborhood. Now that I'm much older, it seems just as fun if not more to hand out treats to all the kiddos in my neighborhood. I love seeing all the creative costumes. This year will be especially fun with my new baby girl Allison. She's going to be a bumble bee along with her dog/brother who has a matching costume. Hubby and I will be the bee keepers. My sister is having a super fun party. I think it will be the best Halloween EVER!

My favorite memory is when I was in grade school, and the school had a carnival with a haunted house and a cakewalk. When we got home we watched the Wizard of Oz on TV. My mom has always made a big crock pot of beans or chili and homemade doghnuts for as long as I can remember!

EEEK, am I number 35? It sure is hard to win one of these adorable pieces. I guess that is why I bought one. Still, please add my name to the basket. There is a big fund raiser for the Reno High School Band in the spring and if I win a piece it will go up for auction then.

When I was in 6th grade I had a halloween party. My parents were managing apartments at the time. They turned an apartment into a haunted house for me and my friends. They went all out. Dry ice, stuff falling out of the attic, friends hiding in the closet....so scary, but so great that they all went out of their way to do that for us!

The year I was an owl (8 years old, I think) I won costume contest and my prize was a gift certificate to the card and gift shop down the street called The Sister Shop, owned by the cutest old-lady sisters. They were there of course, to present the prize and I asked if they could open up their shop that night because I knew exactly what I would by. They agreed and as soon as they opened the door I pointed out a stuffed dog with jingle bells in it's floppy ears that came in a paper carrier. His name is Jingles and he still lives with me!

Oh Summer, I'm almost to late, I did put it on my blog, but I'm late I know.
My best memories, when I was growing up the kids could go to all the neighborhood and just fill up with candy. None of this scared to go to the wrong houses. Mom and the other ladies around the editions would walk with us and we just had a blast.
Thanks for having this,
Bonnie
