Peanut Butter & Jelly Moment

Sloan & Abby

These two are the best of friends. Lately they are all abuzz about the two cutest boys they know. For real? I really didn't think I'd have to deal with the giggles and swiissishhhhsiss (this is the sound of whispering, just in case you didn't know) and the boy craziness for at least a few more years. So far it's all pretty innocent. It's so strange to watch these moments while they are happening. Where did my chubby cheeked little tot go to? Why do they have to grow up so fast? When we got home the other day I informed the girls that I would give them the giant box that we had brought back all their Christmas Carnage in, so they could play with it outside. You would have thought I had given them the world. The girls took it outside, colored on it, played in it and then eventually sat in it. Snuggled together like any two best friends would on a cold day, in a box, with a journal, that I know had writings about who was the cutest guy. I will never peek. That would just be rude. So as grown up as they are trying to be, they still are so very young. And that's fine with me.

AWW such a sweet story! I am not looking forward to this time at all with my own children as I am enjoying them now. But you made it seem not so bad. Thanks for sharing!

Your picture says it all! Thanks for sharing this! I can so relate, only my boys are definately different. One of them teases girls that he likes, and one of them is scared to talk to girls that he likes, and another one is just as kind as he can be, the other one has tons of girls who have baby crushes and he is clueless!...it is interesting to watch. Glad you captured this picture.

How cute!! There's nothing quite like a childhood journal (complete with all those "secret" thoughts inside).

that is so special that they are so close and are best friends. what a blessing. thank you for your nice comment on my blog. so you like Kisha's kids? her stuff is beautiful. i really appreciate what you said about adding memories from your childhood into your art work. it's such a blessing to hear you say that both of your friends growing up inspired you. my best friends growing up were from India and Korea. it was so much fun to eat dinner at their house and learn all about their culture. i really appreciate everybody because were all God's children and we learn so much from each other. Thank You!

God Bless,
Charmaine

P.S. i always welcome long post.
