Weight Loss Wednesdays

Today's workout never happened. It makes me a little sad when I have rough nights with the kids. If they are up more than 3 times I just don't chance it. If Sloan wakes up low I don't get to go either. This very cold fall weather also makes it a little harder to roll out of a warm & toasty bed. Especially when I am snuggled up next to a snuggly hubby.

So what am I doing to make things easier on these cold mornings? I have started laying all my clothes, hat & gloves into a pile the night before. I have a routine of dressing in front of our space heater that I turn on first thing. I don't put ice in my water anymore for my walk. I also am not going to beat myself up over missing a walk. I have my video for days that I just don't make it. It's that time of year again & I think I have found some helpful ways to beat the frosty morning walk blues, haahaa!

I'll be weighing myself this Friday so I look forward to sharing my progress with you all next Wednesday. Thanks for all your encouraging thoughts. It has been so fun to meet new friends through Weight Loss Wednesdays. Hope you all have a great rest of the week!

oh, i give you SO much credit for all of this. i made a goal of just getting up and showered before the kids for school this year and even that i am finding harder to do as it gets darker and colder! especially with a snuggly baby next to me!!!

I think it is great that you remind me that I have got to stop beating myself up over missed walks in the morning. I've been laying out my clothes the night before to it really helps. Good luck on the progress.

Setting up the morning routine extra early always makes a difference! Love the beautiful pumpkins in the posts below (both real and pretty paper)...ours in the pumpkin patch were snuffed out by a blossom disease and a season of heavy rain, so only a handful made it for Halloween, sadly.

After months of not working out I started 3 weeks ago. Each day the mornings are colder. It does sure take discipline !! But do not beat yourself up when it does not happen used to do that but not anymore > I am just glad I can work out!

You are not alone in your early morning struggle. I have been trying to get up and run early like I used to do so that I can lose the rest of this baby weight. I have such trouble leaving the bed when it's dark and cold. I just tell myself that the hardest part is getting out of bed and if I miss a day, oh well...I try and that is more than I can say for most moms! Good luck! The time change will help too.
