Dean has been teaching the girls how to do this for months now. Aris has it down to a fine science. Zoe & Sloan not so much. Still scares the heck out of me. I always worry about their little necks. 

17 Days

Ahoy Mateys!!!!

Kinda hard to believe there are only 17 more days until Christmas.

Good thing I started making the gifts early this year.

It feels good to accomplish something from beginning.......

I think it turned out okay for a cheater quilt. I know what NOT to do next time. Note to self:: Don't cut yourself short on the fabric for the back or you'll be fixing a mistake in the corner again ;)

 This is for my little Oblio. Every little boy should have a pirate blanket.

Where it's At

If you need me I'll be working here. At this table. For the next few days. Weeks, or however long it takes me to finish up two illustrations, a couple blankets and whatever else is on my long list of "Things to do". The point is I have a usable space. The downside is all the crafty junk that was piled on top of my work spaces is now in 3 BIG containers out in the garage. Did I mention I just finished watching all the episodes of hoarders that I have missed. Because of this I felt the need to clean my kitchen, finish some laundry & write a to do list before I go to bed. Not to mention the pile of trash I threw out from our computer desk & I threw away that weird little thing I kept finding on the floor that belonged to Aris car seat but I couldn't figure out how to get it back on. It's finally in the trash. I think I can sleep now. However I will probably have nightmares about piles of rotten food, dead cats & disgusting trash. Hopefully not.

I'll be back tomorrow with a couple pics of the projects that I'm working on.

5 Months

It's like I've blinked & 5 months have flown by. 

5 of the happiest months with this little guy. 

His smile lights up my days. 

& Those cheeks.....

Puttin' On The Socks

It was such a beautiful day outside. There was a chill in the air but the sun was shinning & it warmed things up just enough. I sent the girls outside right away. I think we have all been suffering from a wee bit of cabin fever. 

My little Aris has been such a whiner lately. I don't know if it has something to due with possible small seizures she might be having or if she's just being a pill. She says her head hurts almost on a daily basis. She tells me she has a headache. I have my suspicions. No matter, life goes on & she still needs to try and be a big girl. Right now I'm working with her to do stuff without my help. She is very bright but extremely lazy. Why do something for yourself when you can whine and someone else does the task for you? Sounds like some adults I know, lol!

I'll be darned if she didn't do it all by herself! 

Such determination! 

She even dressed herself after bath two nights in a row. Without any tears or anything. We're making progress people! 

My little Merris is growing up!
