SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes you read correctly, SNOW! Can you believe it? I am watching it come down pretty good right now. Did I mention that it's pretty stinking cold too? Like 36 degrees cold. So I just put the little ones down for their naps after a lunch of soup and grilled cheese sammies. I think I will go and join them. A girl deserves a nap every now and then right?

I have a very touching story to tell you all about later today, and art (yes I really do still paint and craft) to share. For now, I'm off to snuggle up my Zoe and catch a toasty little snooze.

Summer fading, winter comes-
Frosty mornings, tingling thumbs
Window robins, winter rooks,
And the picture storybooks...

Picture-Books in Winter(excerpt)
by E. Mars, 1900

Just a nice little winter poem for you!

Wow! And here I am in 93 degree weather wondering if any coolness will come our way. I have to say, I am envious of the whole sammies, soup and snuggles you have going on! Can't wait to hear your story and see the photos of snow!!!

So I was reading more poems this mornings and realized that the poem I shared with you was written by Robert Louis Stevenson - oops! It was illustrated by E.Mars. I feel so silly...

OK, yeah, you caught me going back and reading old posts {and being all bloggy stalkerish} when I should be packing!

I had to comment, because I seriously started laughing when I read this. I remember this day! I posted about the same snow!!! Too freakin funny! :o)
