I wanted to post a little snippet on this the other night, but things have been busy. My little Aris will be 14 months this week and she still isn't walking. She is just a late bloomer on everything. Plus she is still super tiny for her age. I still can dress her in some 3-6 month stuff. I jokingly call her my little elfin child. The other night all the girls and I were enjoying the backyard and what do you know, Aris took 4 steps! Not to me, but to her sissy Sloan. Sloan freaked out and was so excited that she was the first one Aris walked to. Since then Aris has taken a few more steps here and there. So she isn't officially walking yet, but very close. I am most excited at the fact that this winter, I won't have to spray and wash the knees on all her little sleepers, overalls, pants and dresses.

Aris' First steps

Aris the Amazing!
Poor little thing! She is teething so badly at the moment and her nose just runs all the time. Just so you guys know, I did wipe her nose after these pictures were taken. I can't stand to see babies or small children with runny noses.

Popeye
I could watch this a thousand times. One reason is, well she's mine. The second is I know she is growing so quickly. I hope all the grammas and grampas, uncles, aunties and whoever enjoy seeing a little peak at what I get to experience in my everyday life. I do truly feel blessed.

My first Barbie
Barbies...............................
Before I go take a nap I thought I would post these pictures. Sloan was so sweet, she took Aris into her room and played Barbies with her while I was cleaning the other day. Zoe was in the tub and she was being a total hot sauce, so no pictures of Zoe in this posting.

An uneventfully eventfull day
Little Sloan is back on her normal school schedule. So I was able to take a nap with the girls, although I am still pretty tired. I had a lovely phone visit with Deans Grandma Swanson. Carol is super spunky, but has a heart of gold. She makes me smile and is so very kind. I feel very blessed to have all of Deans family in my life.
Little Aris and Zoe both have a case of the runny nose blues today. It is no fun when your little ones are not feeling totally 100%. I am hoping that tomorrow everyone is feeling better.
When Dean came home tonight he let me know that his Mom and Eric and Jennifer all had to evacuate their home today due to the fires in California. I hope we all can keep them in our prayers.
I am sorry this is a little short tonight, but my neck is sore and my head is aching so I am going to go to bed. Until tomorrow, Good night!

A sigh of relief

Today was one of those days where I feel like nothing went the way I wanted. It was still a good day. I made an attempt to clean the house, and failed miserably. Zoe and Aris just didn't nap very well. Since I always try to do the cleaning when they sleep, not much got done. Sloanie had fun over at Abbys' home today. When we went to pick her up we had dinner with Kirsten, Abby and her mom and dad. They are a very wonderful family. I feel blessed to have them in my life. When we got home Dean and I put the little munchkins to sleep, and then I started jonesin for something sweet. I am limited to pretty much ice pops or rice crispy treats. So I went to the store and bought the special margarine that is milk free, and some marshmallows and made up a tasty little batch of rice goodness. I probably will eat all of them by tomorrow, they are so darn good. OK enough about rice treats. I am going to sketch for a moment before I go to bed. I want to start one of the huge wooden canvases that are collecting dust in the garage. I am going to pull out some of my old school painting skills and just have fun with this one. It will be fun to just paint for the hulovit. It's been a really great day. Until tomorrow................
