Blooming Doodles & Giggles & Scribbles

Sloan's newest creation. It reminds me a little of the day of the Dead art from Mexico with a hint of tattoo style. She was emphatic that I teach her how to draw skulls today, and I would have never thought this is what she would produce. I think it's very creative. You can see this illustration along with others on Sloan's blog, Blooming Doodles. She loves getting comments and if you have any young budding artists that would like to become blogging pals with her she would be thrilled.

This is my little Zoe's artwork. She is very excited to start her own blog also. She wants to be just like Sloan. So whenever she finishes one of her "scribbles" drawings she brings it to me and says, "You put this to my blog mommy?". How could I resist this request. If you know my Zoe she doesn't ask once, no, it's like the 2 year old version of rain man. Things are repeated over and over and then a couple more times. So I had a few moments and figured I would start her little blog Scribbles & Giggles tonight.

I figure the more these girls draw to more art will become a part of their lives. Even if they don't choose to become artists, I am hoping they will develop a love for the arts. You can visit both blogs by following the links at the side of my blog.

Zoe and her Red Ryder

Zoe got a big girl bike for her second birthday but she still loves to ride on this one. My parents bought this for Sloan when she was a little over a year old. I know eventually Aris will ride on the Red Ryder. These bikes are built to last.

Some naked little biscuits!

I am in the middle of our day and I couldn't help myself I had to post this picture of Zoe. Beware, there is some nudity involved. I went to change her diaper and she decided she wanted to put on her boots and cook in the kitchen, without her diaper. I just had to take a picture, it was way too cute.

Well back to work. Hope everyone is having a lovely day.

Twinkle Twinkle

This is Zoe favorite song, however she pronounces it "Tinkle tinkle".

Laughing Dozers

Go Charlotte

Hillary's daughter is Charlotte. Zoe absolutely adores Charlotte and talks about her all the time. She is always asking where Charlotte is. When she sang this song I had to tape it.

My darling little ones

I tried to find the picture of me wearing this dress, but I couldn't. My mom made me this Holly Hobie Dress and a bedspread that matched when I was about Zoe' age.

Just thought I would post a few pictures of the girls. Hope you enjoy.

And here is the rest of the story

Zoe threw up three more times during the early morning. At about 11:30 I put her down for a nap and she slept until 4:30. Tonight she was running around until bedtime like nothing had ever happened today. I still wouldn't let her eat anything but applesauce and crackers. Tomorrow things will hopefully be back to normal. I was able to work on Katie Turtle for a bit today. I usually go to work on things as soon as the girls go to bed, however tonight I just finished cleaning up the remains of the day (A great movie by the way), and My hubby is sitting on the sofa waiting for me to snuggle up to him to watch a few minutes of TV before we go to bed. I am going to snuggle him up and relax. I think I deserve it today. Good night until tomorrow.

No hot dogs for me!

Zoe has recently started crawling into bed with us at wee hours of the morning. I put her back in her bed change her wet diaper (I will be getting on that potty training thing very soon) and then sing her twinkle twinkle, it's her favorite and kiss her goodnight. I crawl back into my bed only to be jolted awake by cries of hunger! Not from wolves out in the wild, no just my little Aris who screams and kicks her legs until I nurse her. There are no tears during this process although by the sound of her you would think something terrible was happening. So anyway this morning around 3 AM to be exact, Zoe came and crawled into bed and this whole process as described above happened. However this time Zoe came in a second time wanting to talk to me about something. At this point I am too tired to repeat the whole process of bedtime, I've already done it twice already, so I put her back in bad and fall quickly asleep beside her, in her little bed. I'm having a very vivid dream about shopping in a huge Kmart. I don't know why. So in my dream I am shopping in Kmart and then I am suddenly woken up by coughing and sputtering gagging sounds. Zoe is vomiting all over the place, right at the back of my head all over the pillow. This is not part of the dream, it's really happening. I tried to grab the plastic sink from the girls kitchen so I could do damage control but it kept getting stuck on the pretend faucet. Dang those pretend faucets. All I could really do at this point is pat her back and tell her it was going to be OK. After the whole ordeal was over I put her in the tub, how I didn't get chunks in my hair and all over my back, well I am going to consider this part a modern day miracle. After I stripped her whole bed, disinfected the mattress and got little Zoe all cleaned up and dressed in fresh clothes, she threw up again. This time however I was prepared! I had placed a large bowl beside her on the coffee table. She finally fell asleep on the sofa watching Blues Clues. If you had to clean up what I did this morning, you wouldn't be eating hot dogs for a while either. Hopefully the rest of the day will go a little smoother.

Don't read this if you have a weak stomach

So the big surprise was..................Cristin came to visit. It is so fun to see her. The girls have crawled all over her all day long. They adore her. It's hard not to, she is such a sweetie. Dean and I and the girls took Cristin to BJ's Brewery tonight. They have the best most yummiest food. Dinner was awesome! When we got home Dean was like Zoe barfed. No way! Are you serious? Yup. On the way home she started jubberjabbering to Dean and he looked over at her and she was covered in mac and cheese and chewed up fries. The really funny part of this whole scenario is when I put Zoe into the tub and I took off all her barfy clothes, a little chunk of barf fell into the tub and she just started screaming. She doesn't like stuff to be out of order, I seriously think the chunk of barf sent her over the edge. It was so sad but all I could do is laugh. Horrible huh? I would rather laugh when things are going that crazy. All the girls are in bed now and I am going to sign off so that I can visit with my sister. Take care.

My little Zoe

Zoe had taken off her sweater, and it was freezing outside. When I asked Sloan to put Zoe' sweater back on of coarse there was screaming and running and a whole lot of "No sissy, sissy nooooo!". I finally had little biscuits come up on the porch and this is the look I got when I told her not to take her sweater off again. It was very hard not to laugh.

As you can see she recovered rather quickly from the pain of having to put a sweater on.

My three darling girls

This morning my girls woke up and all three sat on the sofa. It was like a total Kodak moment. I couldn't help myself I just had to snap away.

Dress up and a Lazy day

Zoe was not so graceful in her hula outfit. She reminded me more of the male hula dancers.

My little hula girls.

Dress up Zoe.

Sloan has been begging me to get dress up out for a couple of weeks now. I promised her I would on Saturday. The girls had so much fun, as you will see in the videos below. Hope you all enjoy.

Hula girls

Dancing Girls

Dizzy Dozers

She kind of reminds me of a drunken sailor here. About 10 minutes after we turned off the camera, Zoe flew into the wall and hit her eye on the guitar. It was so sad. She finally quit spinning after that.
